About the Alcazar Piano Studio
The Alcazar Piano Studio was founded by Melissa Alcazar in 2001, when her younger cousin's parents decided to enroll her in Melissa's piano lessons. At the time, Melissa was still in college, studying piano performance for her bachelor's degree in fine arts. When she first started teaching, she named the studio, "Melissa Alcazar's Piano Instruction." After teaching her cousin for a year, other students started enrolling, giving Melissa the idea of starting a small business. As time passed, her clientelle grew as well as her great reputation as a teacher. After graduating from the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, CA., she continued to teach hoping that maybe one day she could open up a studio of her own. As her clientelle continued to increase, she decided to recruit her brother, Matthew Alcazar as a teacher to even out her work load. That's when Melissa decided to change the name to the "Alcazar Piano Studio." As a family business, the Alcazar Piano Studio strives to offer the best teaching methods to those who wish to expand their musical ability on the piano.
